Ukraine's fight for survival relies on its defense industry's ability to produce weapons and drones alongside military aid from allies. Despite ongoing challenges, the country demonstrates extraordinary resourcefulness in weapons development.
Deutsche Welle, the German international broadcaster, recently featured the Ukrainian UAV manufacturer Skyeton, highlighting the importance of domestic innovation for Ukraine's defence.
DW visited Skyeton's facility, talking to CEO Andriy Fialkovskyi, CTO Maksym Levkivskyi, and a Ukrainian drone pilot.
They emphasised the importance of adapting technology due to the ever-changing situation on the battlefield. Constantly enhancing drones in close collaboration with frontline forces proves to be remarkably cost-effective in targeting Russian forces with intelligence-driven strikes.
"This (Ukraine) is the best place right now to test and develop this kind of technology," says Andriy Fialkovskyi.
