The final of the 5th All-Ukrainian Engineering Hackathon SmaRTF (SMART MILITARY ELECTRONICS 4.0) took place at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The event brought together engineering students working on applied solutions in the field of smart military electronics — an area that plays a critical role in strengthening national defense. Such technologies directly impact the effectiveness of surveillance, communications, command-and-control, and data analysis systems, all of which are essential to modern warfare.
Eight teams reached the final, completing three key stages: presenting their ideas, working with components, developing functional prototypes, and defending their projects before the jury. The winning team, HelMi, received $2,000 and prizes from partners.
One of the key advantages of hackathons like SmaRTF is the opportunity to work under real engineering constraints. Limited time and budget push ideas beyond concepts and into practical implementation.
Skyeton continues its partnership with the SmaRTF hackathon for the second year in a row. Roman Knyazhenko, CEO of Skyeton, also served as a member of the final jury.
For our team, being part of initiatives like this is about responsibility for the future — supporting Ukrainian youth who choose to grow professionally in Ukraine and apply their expertise to strengthening the country’s defense capability and technological development.
We congratulate the winners and thank KPI and the organizers for creating a space where ideas turn into working solutions.
