Skyeton Unveils Stormbird UAS: A Tactical Strike Platform

Stormbird UAV & Remora

[October 7] Skyeton, a Ukrainian-born leading manufacturer of fixed-wing unmanned aerial systems, announced the launch of its new product – the Stormbird, a tactical UAS purpose-built for precision strike missions. Building on the combat-proven architecture of the Raybird UAS, Stormbird introduces enhanced payload integration and mission adaptability designed to meet modern battlefield demands.

Stormbird has completed the codification process with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and is certified and ready for wide operational use. The new platform is already being used by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in combat, where it has demonstrated its operational reliability.

Leveraging more than 350,000 flight hours of operational experience gained in Ukraine, Stormbird inherits Raybird’s legendary reliability, endurance, and resilience to electronic warfare – while integrating advanced strike capabilities for both autonomous and remotely guided missions.

Roman Knyazhenko, CEO of Skyeton: “With Stormbird, we are taking a step beyond reconnaissance. It combines the endurance and stealth of Raybird with the precision and versatility required for modern strike missions. Our vision is to develop a comprehensive ecosystem of small fixed-wing UAS capable of performing intelligence, detection, target acquisition, and now – precision strike missions in environments where manned aircraft or even larger UAVs cannot.”

Payload options

  • Remora – a glide munition;
  • Quadremora – FPV-type loitering munition;
  • Retranslator – a communications relay that extends range, improves link reliability, and enables persistent connectivity where ground infrastructure can’t reach.

Mission-Ready for the Modern Battlefield

Designed with stealth and survivability in mind, Stormbird’s compact airframe minimizes radar visibility and resists electronic warfare interference. Stormbird and Raybird can operate together on ISR and strike missions, sharing similar ground infrastructure and requiring only a small crew. The system’s high level of autonomy and precision strike capability make it ideal for dynamic combat environments, where accuracy, endurance, and reliability are paramount.
